No More Compensatory Certificates

The Under Graduate Medical Education Board of the National Medical Commission noticed improper practices aimed at securing compensatory certificates from parent universities for online lectures taken throughout their study period. The Board also emphasized the importance of maintaining high training standards for upcoming physicians. To prevent such misconduct, the board ruled that certificates seeking compensation for theoretical online sessions will no longer be valid.

Mandatory Internship Requirement

Because of this ruling, Foreign Medical Graduates who completed any portion of their studies online must clear the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination. Following this, these graduates must complete a compulsory rotating medical internship lasting two to three years. This incorporates a one-year repeat internship designed to guarantee thorough clinical and practical preparation.

Ever since their release, the updated rules introduced by the Under Graduate Medical Education Board of the National Medical Commission represent a vital measure to guarantee that every medical practitioner in India receives proper training and is fully ready for their duties.

Applicants should check the official website of the NMC frequently to remain informed and follow the newest policies and instructions.
