NMC Notification: Details of students admitted for MBBS in India for 2023-24
On December 18th, 2023, the National Medical Commission released a notification concerning the information of students enrolled in the MBBS program across India for the 2023-24 academic term. Previously, the commission had published notices directing all Indian medical institutions to submit the particulars of every student admitted to undergraduate medical programs for the 2023-24 session through the NMC Portal.
The NMC observed that information for only 1,04,891 students has been submitted so far. Even though the deadline for data submission was extended, certain medical institutions neglected to upload the records or left the submitted information for enrolled students incomplete within the portal.
Candidates whose records have been successfully uploaded to the portal will qualify for medical practice registration in India, provided they satisfy all requirements outlined by NMC guidelines.
To maintain precision and openness, the UGMEB has made the roster of enrolled students for the 2023-24 academic session available on its portal. Individuals currently pursuing MBBS degrees are strongly encouraged to check that their names appear accurately on the published roster.
If any students discover inconsistencies or notice their names are missing from the published roster, it is essential that they promptly reach out to the appropriate Counseling Authority or Directorate of Medical Education.
This checking procedure is designed to rectify any omissions or missing information, guaranteeing that all qualified individuals are properly acknowledged for their undergraduate medical training during the 2023-24 academic period.
