National Medical Commission Bill 2019 tabled in Lok Sabha, expected to replace MCI!

NEXT- MBBS Exit Test to be Introduced-
As per the NMC Bill, the commission also intends to introduce uniform national standards for Medical Education in the country. As per the Bill, NEXT will be introduced as an exit examination for MBBS Courses, which will be considered as an entrance test for admission to PG medical programs for students pursuing MBBS in India and will also be considered as a Screening exam for Foreign Medical Graduates who wants to practice their medical career in India or want to enroll for postgraduate medical programs.
Capping on Fees-
The NMC is planning to put a cap on medical education tuition fees. This cap will be on 50% of medical seats that are offered for PG courses and MBBS Colleges across India.
Uniform Evaluation Standards
At present, Medical colleges in India have different examination patterns across the country. In simple terms, there is no uniformity through which we can measure the quality of MBBS Graduates coming out of Indian medical colleges.
According to the NMC Bill, there will be a uniform pattern for the final year of MBBS Exam which will ensure the surety of the quality of medical graduates from Indian Medical Colleges. This Bill will also ensure that all the medical graduates who got the license to practice medicine match up to the uniform national standards and quality.
