National Cuisine Days: A Celebration of Indian Traditions at Orenburg

To encourage friendship among learners from diverse countries, Orenburg Presential School organizes monthly National Cuisine Days. This month, Indian pupils from Orenburg State Medical University took part by showcasing and delighting the young cadets of Orenburg with traditional Indian food, while also entertaining them through mesmerizing dance acts, ranging from the graceful Bharatnatyam to lively Bollywood and Punjabi routines.
Dr. Ashok Patel, representing the Indian learners at Orenburg State Medical University, along with Marina Shamova, who leads the non-profit group Promoting the Development of Eastern Culture Jani and teaches Indian dance, discussed the long-standing ties between Russia and India alongside the distinctive traits of Indian gastronomy. They drew attention to the heavy reliance on spices in Indian food preparation, featuring prominently in both main courses and sweets.
During the gathering, the cadets and other participants experienced India's vibrant cultural heritage via its culinary offerings. They gained knowledge regarding Indian traditions and foodways, which featured a traditional wellness beverage boasting a heritage spanning around 4000 years.
Every participant was captivated by the day's activities. They acquired a deeper understanding of India's extensive past, folk heritage, cultural practices, and the lively flavors and melodies defining Indian culture.
National Cuisine Days have established themselves as a regular custom at Orenburg Presidential School. They provide an exceptional chance for the pupils to build enduring bonds and solidarity across various cultural backgrounds.
